About Luka & Teaching Style

Luka is a pianist and actor based in Los Angeles.  As an accomplished pianist, she graduated from Northwestern University, Manhattan School of Music, and the Hartt School of Music. She holds a Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Post-Master’s degree in classical piano performance. Luka has 15 years of teaching experience. Before returning to her hometown of LA, she taught privately as well as in various schools in New York City, including the Geneva Conservatory in Manhattan. She has performed all over the world, including Austria, Poland, Italy, and Japan. Luka also works professionally as an actor and is a member of the Beverly Hills Playhouse and the Collaborative LA.

Luka focuses on classical piano. Each lesson addresses musicality, technique, rhythm, ear training, reading, theory, and promoting creativity. She believes these elements are crucial for creating a solid foundation in piano playing. Through a positive, goal-setting environment, learning is not only successful but also fun! Weekly assignments are based on each student’s abilities, goals, and progress. Students are expected to practice daily throughout the week in-between their weekly lessons.

Currently Luka is providing in-home lessons to the West LA area. Annual recitals are held at Steinway Piano in Beverly Hills. She is a member of the Steinway Teaching & Educational Program.
